About Shelley Alger Photography


Shelley Alger, a San Francisco-based photographer, travels the world to document vanishing wildlife and indigenous cultures. Through her work, she hopes to raise concern for the endangered wisdom of the planet by creating images that capture the universal spirit of people and animals within an ancient web of life. Her work has won her awards and has been shown in various San Francisco Bay Area galleries. She is currently exhibiting work from India, Burma and Mexico in several venues, as well as working on installations that feature large-scale silk-screen images that portray animals in motion.
